Fighting for Texas Workers
The Texas AFL-CIO consists of workers who fight for working families in Texas.
We are a state labor federation of approximately 240,000 affiliated union members who seek a fair shot for all working people – union and non-union alike – by operating in legislative, political and community arenas. We provide support to unions organizing new members and we coordinate legislative, political, service, volunteer and educational programs.
The Voice of Labor in Texas
We are teachers, firefighters and farm workers, actors and engineers, pilots and public employees, painters and plumbers, steelworkers and screenwriters, doctors and nurses, stagehands, electricians and more. We work the early shift and the late shift. We are the unemployed, students and retirees.
The Texas AFL-CIO is a state federation of labor unions representing 240,000 members in Texas. We advocate for working people in the political and legislative arenas.
